Experience with the Train in Osaka

Airport to Hotel

Thanks to google map and the website of place where I'm staying, I am able to find my way easily. From the airport, I took at railway to get to the nearest station where it can actually bring me to my hotel.

Thanks again to the super friendly policewomen that help to buy the train ticket and showed me the way that lead to the train. Also, thanks for the detailed information that ask me not to take the blue but silver train. Hehehe...

From airport to Namba station took me 5 minutes. My journey isn't end here as there's another train to catch before I reach my hotel. So, from Nankai railway to yotsubashi line takes me 15 minutes on foot (for me). I actually got lost in Nanba station. Sad sad.. This is the experience that I will never forget!



Again, I really feel blessed. When I'm about to give up and decide to take a cap from Namba station to my hotel, a stranger approach me and ask "are you lost?". Oh yes! I am lost and hungry and I really need some directions!!

She is so good and kind that she walked with me to the correct line, help me carry one of my bags and even help me to buy the train ticket! I really must say, she is like an angel sent from above to help me. From what she say, a lot of tourist got lost in this station.. There are two arrow showing yotsubashi and one of it need to pass outside the station.

My next station is Higobashi station. Everything is smooth here and I'm enjoying the cleanliness in the train. Everyone is so polite and helpful.

Hotel to Airport

Due to the bad experience on the first day, I tried to find some information on how to get to airport without passing through the Namba station.


So, while I went shopping at Nanba, I pay a visit to the tourist centre there. The lady is very kind and tell me that I don't have to take train from Namba station. I can simply take limousine bus which is very convenient and punctual.

I did just what she say and thank God, it really is indeed so much easier! Not only that, I get to see all over Osaka once again! Weeeeeee!!!

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. One thing different between St. Mark and my church is that during this kind of occasion is that in my church, there will be more than 1 photographers going all round taking photos or filming the whole occasion. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
