While planning for my trip to Miri, I’ve search all through for a reasonable hotel or place to stay for a night in Miri town. Although HB is from Miri, but he is at Niah, Miri. It is still best to find a place to stay if I wants to go round Miri town.

Of course, there’s a lot of hotels in Miri but then, we are looking for something cozy and reasonably cheap. I did some google search to see if I can find anything about place of stay in Miri.

Surprisingly, I came across this website that introduces Minda Guesthouse.

You can book online too!

So what’s the cost? For one night stay, it cost RM50 per room. If you do not mind to share room, the price is even cheaper. For me, it will be HB and me, so I prefer some privacy.

For RM50, don’t expect much. You need to:-

- Share bathroom

- Make your own breakfast (it is provided)

- Get your own drinks at the little pantry

- Turn on the aircond yourself, or if you prefer fan..

But, for RM50, it is a surprise that they have free wife 24 hours a day!! For me, I felt like at home when I stay here. Surely, I’ll come here again when I drop by Miri.

After polluting my blog with foods almost all the time, finally, I've got inspiration to post something which isn't about food.

I'll begin clearing all the food posting with archery. What do you think at the first place about this sports? Easy? Oh well, let me tell you, its tough!! The toughest of all, is to close my left eye and focus the arrows using my right eye. Huh!! That explains why some professional becomes 'pirates' while playing this sports. Haha...

When I'm in Miri, we came across this archery centre. Its a new one and is having promotion. RM10 for 20 arrows and free another 20 arrows. Hehehe... Both hubby and me try it out...And they have someone there to guide you too.

On the first day of each new year, it marks birthday of HB as well. Yea, his birthday is on the first of January. The whole world celebrate his birthday for him. So lucky!!

Somehow, I loves this restaurant and also the surrounding. The swimming pool looks cool to me. At first, I'm suppose to stay here for one night for my wedding day. However, good boss of mine had given us one night stay voucher at Pullman.

Don't you think that the interior is quite attractive?

And the food - portion is ehem ehem ... HUGE!

Until now, I couldn't be sure if Pooh is really half rottweiler or simply just local. But does it matters? What matters is that she have been the best buddy ever. She would never lie to me, or bad to me nor hate me. Whenever can, she always will be the best buddy at home.

If you're thinking of some seafood for lunch, try out the Pending Food stall. You can get quite a variety of seafood here.

For me, I wouldn't want to go here so often. Its not the food to blame but the construction there. The road is dusty and very jam. But if you're thinking of catching some 'snake' from work during lunch, then think of this place. Oh well, just creating excuse to boss why late from lunch - traffic jam. Lol!

Whenever there's some ex-pat coming to our office, we would always order some local foods as signature dish to promote our city as the king of foody goody. Yeahhhhh ..

My Chicken Restaurant

Where would you usually go in looking for fried chicken? I believe most of us would go to KFC. At least, for me, one of the choices would be KFC.

In getting out of idea where to have lunch, we (lunch partner in office) decided to try something new and fresh. Here we are - My Chicken Restaurant at the Tabuan new shopping complex (sorry, not so good with my location description).

Not only they have fried chicken, they also have all variety of dishes that serves with chicken. Lol! Chicken rice, fried chicken rice, nasi lemak, burger .... price wise, its reasonable - at least cheaper than some food stall.

My House

Lately, I've stuck myself at my new house. I'm still staying with my dad because my new house isn't ready yet.

HB have been hardworking too. Almost all of the works done in our house is done by our ownselves - of course with some help from experts.

Lighting - HB and his friend had been installing the downlight for almost 2 wks now..
Water heater - We finally got the heater installed.
Fans - There's 3 fan in our house: master bedroom, guest room and living room
Curtains - some parts in the house, we didn't use curtains. But for some, HB grill the curtain stick on. I'm still searching for curtains
Garden - the most tiring moment will definitely be gardening!! After 2 days of hard work, we finally 'killed' all the grass in our small garden area. HB bought jambu tree already and is eagerly thinking of planting them this weekend.

Next to be done - kitchen and wall painting touch up.

Can't wait to move in......

Family Cafe Dinner

Anyone knows or been to this place? For me, this cafe is full with memories. When I'm kid, my parents always bring us out for dinner here as it is near our house. Also, the price is quite reasonable.

Out of the blue, hubby tell me that he wants to eat outside. WHen we reach there, we are the first customer. Lol! At 5.15pm, I'm definitely the first customer to eat at any restaurant. Hehehe...

A must have things to have will always be chillies. Hehehe...

Wedding is one of the occassion where money is an issue. I just don't understand why is that some businesses likes to mark up their prices especially for wedding stuff.

Thinking that it's not worth the money, I tried some DIY teapot set.

Chef At Home - Revisit

For those who just loves a big portion of western food but with reasonable price, you can consider this place.

I loves to come here once a while as the price is really affordable. Most of the time, western food cost more than RM30 per dish but for this place, its ranging from RM9 to RM20. One tips here is, not to come during festive season. The price is totally different during festive time and normal time.

During my gathering with ex-colleague, I revisit this restaurant. It's a nice place to catch up with friends due to the quietness of the place.

Now, most importantly, the food that we order:

Sweet 2011, Challenging 2012

For me, 2011 feels like just a minutes away. There's so much good and bad memories but then, all these memories is still a nice one..

Thinking back, 2011 has been a wonderful year for me. Starting with a new job and new circle of colleagues, life's quite interesting. I've been busy with my work almost all the time as the company is starting up.

Not just that, wedding is around the corner. I've attended wedding in June, August, October, November and December. Gosh!! I think I've received more than 5 wedding invitation!

New job;Weddings; Not just that - After so many years, we finally meet up again. My uni-mate just makes me feels younger! Its been a while and still, the friendship is still there. True friendship last forever. Hope that can meet up again some other time.

What else... Oh ya, I finally step into Brunei. Although its a short trip, but then still, I finally been to Brunei! During my 3 years study in Miri, I've never ever been to Brunei although this country is just an hour drive from my Miri house. Lol...

2011 sweetness moment:
- Got a pay increment during probation period (lol)
- Meet up with uni-mate and had a small gathering
- Upgrade my handphone. haha..
- Went to Brunei
- Paid my study loan
- Most importantly, getting married
- And finally, got my house key

Finally, 2012 is here..! Anyone remember the movie 2012? Oh well, I keep thinking about this movie whenever I remember year 2012. Lol.. Whether or not this will comes true, let's just put our faith in Him...

Looking forward now, my target for this new year is quite simple:
- build stronger relationship with hubby
- recover financially
- more increment (wink)
- more time to update my blog
- stay fit and healthy

Let us all pray and wish for a peaceful and greated 2012 to the people and to our mother Earth!

This is my first time be come to this place for a very simple home lunch.

I don't really know in English, how we call this area but in hokkien, we called it 'pek tiam teh' or in mandarin '8 dien di'. I guess anyone in Kuching would sure know where is this area.

Also, there's newspaper for those who wants to read them. Too bad, I can't read chinese newspaper.

It is indeed a house which they extended their car porch and turn it into a place to sell food.

It's a very relaxing and enjoying lunch with the feeling of back to 1990s'. Why I say that? Well, I have this as my drinks and it cost me RM1 only. For lunch, I can't remember what it is call but mee...

Anyway, there's quite a lot of different types of Librese samples in the package. I must say - Librese is extremely generous with their samples!! I tried some of it already and it's actually not bad. Hhhmmm, I'll put into consideration...

Some new experience I had recently was to participate in the fire alarm testing in my office. Normally our facility department would just rings the bell and see our response in evacuating out of the building. But this time, it involves the response from the fire departments too.

Quite a unique experience though but I must say it's TERRIBLE HOT!!!!

Shame to say that I've never been to this restaurant before. Oh well, what can I say? I'm surrounded by those who just eat local food - my BF and dad just eat local food and not very keen to eat something different. Lol!

For the first time, I set my food into Koreana during one of the company dinner with some colleagues from other sites. Yeahh, I get to eat nice food without the need of paying for it. Hehehehe...

The other colleague went there right after work while for me, I prefer to go home and take my sweet bath first. When I got there, the food are all ordered and is on the way to be served. Hehehe...

I'm not sure what are all the food name since I'm not there when they order. All I know is which of it taste super nice and is a must to order if we go there.

So, anyone interested to go to Mulu, Miri? Well, I found out that they have few promotion at the moment. I've compared the price for the package with the normal room booking. Trust me - its worth it!

7th Mile Foody Goody

7th mile, Kuching is becoming developing into one of the main point in Kuching now. Here, we get to have lots of different types of from from as cheap as RM3 per bowl to RM10 per bowl (or maybe, even more).

This time, I tried the opposite shop of Authentic Chicken Rice that I posted previously. Well, I'm not into curry so I try the hakka pork leg rice.

If your taste is the same as me, you should try to eat here. It's one of the best pork leg I've ever ate and it's only RM5!

There's 3 pieces of pork leg meat. Elsewhere, I might get one 1 piece!

Regatta 2011 at Waterfront, Kuching

A must enjoy food if you happen to be at Waterfront - Kebab!

Not going to talk much about the Regatta as I'm there for only an hour. I'm so lucky that I manage to see lots of handsome guy from all around the world, performing water skate. They are so good and fit!! How I wish I am them ... Sigh ...

Some local is camping here just to be there whole day. I salute them!

Apart from the super fantastic performance, it's a must to stop by and get some souvenir for this special Regatta event...

Dine at The Banquet

I was invited by another department to join in their dinner for the farewell of one of the counterpart who will return to its origin branch. Since I don't know how to reject them, I just agree to go with them for the dinner.

When talk about The Banquet, all I can remember is the butter prawn. This time, we did order butter prawn - a different kind of butter prawn though. This time, it's butter prawn with wasabi. Trust me, its not spicy at all!!!!!

Anyone ever been to the new shopping complex at Jalan Song? Well, I never had idea what to buy each time I come here. But, they have a seafood restaurant at the highest level - Bukit Mata Seafood

Since that the weather is extremely burning lately, I pick this place to eat my dinner on my birthday. Environment - awkward ... I can see people going up the stairs and they can see me ....

Food wise, well, not much comment. Not that bad but not superb too. They don't have coconut drinks .. sighhhhh....

So what we order? You'll be surprise that three of us can actually finish all of this!!

Holiday Day Trip

Recently, my company had asked us to take a week off for shutdown. For me, I look at it as time for me to finally had some rest after almost a year striving and working like mad. This is definitely the time for me to relax and sleep!!

So, what did I do on the week long holiday? I didn't go travelling because it was short notice and air ticket that time is super expensive and ridiculous. So, I had my fun in Kuching ..

Plugging rambutan from my house is a must do thing!

Accompanying my dad to market to get some fresh fish/meat/vegetables.. For me, all the fish look the same. Hahahaha !!!

Day trip to Mt Singai is just a booster to help me maintaining and gaining more stability in my stamina. It's durian season now but all the durians in Mt Singai is still not edible yet.

And of course, some breakfast preparation before going down the holy place.

Last, I went pooling. Not the swimming pool kind of pool... but snookering type of pool. Lol!!

I'm Being Loved!

I guess I've posted way too much of food photos, rather than an update of myself. Oh well, it is rather easier to post food photos rather than an update of myself. Hhmmm, don't you think so?

Lately, it's been really a busy year for me. Everything is just about waiting for the time to comes. Waiting for the developer to call and say that it's time for handover of house, waiting for bridal to call and ask us to collect our albums. Waiting for the time to go back to restaurant and set the wedding cards. All are just waiting for the time to comes. Hhhmmmmm....

As for work, it's busy like hell! I just can't take my mind away from work - which means, I don't even had a good preparation for my wedding and chasing after the house developer for me to get my key. Hhmmppfff!!!!

Although work is really stressed and never ending, I feel the nice feeling of the new workplace. In spite of the busy daily routine, we get to have a little fun in between..

Dinner at Pool Side, Grand Magherita

It's quite an idea to have a very different kind of wedding rather than in restaurants or just some place with aircond. Last month, I attended a wedding dinner at Poolside, Grand Magherita. Nice?

I love the environment. Its a different kind of wedding and very comfortable. Good thing is that it's not a hot day for us. The sun give way for us to have a nice and FOC fresh air. Hahaha..

Here's some foods that we've had. Some of it, I can't even remember to take photos. Sigh!!

Each time I attend my friend's wedding, it feels like I'm attending a reunion dinner! This time, I get the chance to meet up with some ex-colleagues - not forgetting almost being force to drink beer. Hehehehe....

Imperial Bak Kut Teh

It seems to me that there's been way too many new food stall around Kuching area. I just can't finish visiting all the places. Is Kuching-nites becoming more into food?

I can't read chinese. What it says?

This is the first time I'm here, at the Imperial Bak Kut Teh (opposite 456 and behind OneTJ). The place is very clean - as it is still new. The waitress there is very polite and well educated (I think it's the tauke that serves us).

Healthy drinks

We ordered the dry bak kut teh. BF wants to have something which taste sweet and spicy. Well, we are quite dissapointed with the food. For me, there's not much sauce and the pork still not very juicy enough. Price wise - quite expensive.

Nu Er Hung, Chinese Cuisine Restaurant

Anyway been here? Well, the food is quite nice (but I'm not sure the price).

In one of the company function, the management of Pullman gave us a treat for dinner. I must say the food taste is quite nice and the decorations is extremely attractive. Too bad, I didn't manage to take any photos of the decorations. The reason is simple - when the waitress introduce a meal, they would divide the food and gave it to us in plates to everyone!! That also mean, I'm extremely full after the end of the dinner.

Anyway, free food, why should I bother? lol...I must admit they do have their unique ways for the food and the combination. It is something very different from other restaurant that I've been too.

Bak Kut Teh at Jalan Song

Lately, I've been posting a lot of food near Jalan Song area. That just tells us how progressively advance this area is!

I can't remember this bak kut teh shop. It's chinese name and I had difficulties remembering chinese name.. Haha.. The shop name is yellow in colour, near to a supermarket call 'Sin Nam Fatt' (or something like that). It's right opposite Peach Garden.

The bak kut teh here is RM9.90, exclude rice. They have both soup and dry bak kut teh. We ordered both types and also one vegetables.

The rice is quite nice (but I still like the one in BDC - Mon Low). If they added more onion in it, it will definitely smells much nicer.

For the soup bak kut teh, I think the one in BDC - Mon Low is still the best. Hehehe..For the dry bak kut teh, not bad. However, I prefer the one near to MAA (I blogged about it previously). Anyway, the vegetables is nice.

I think the reason why I thinks that the taste is lacked of something is due to the chillies. It's not as appetizing as the one served at Mon Low. Hehehe....

Dine at Flinders - Jalan Song

New food in town!!!!!

I think this is a sub company of Pizza Junction. They have the menu from pizza junction. I dare not touch pizza from pizza junction anymore after I got allergy from the last meal I had there.

So, what's good in flinders? They have a lot of variety of western food. Price wise is reasonable too. The waitress is quite polite and helpful.

The only thing that I don't really like about this place is that the food takes too long to arrive. Not only that, the air-conditioned is off at 9.00pm. Well, I still want to hang out and not getting myself suffocated inside here. So, for those who don't plan to hang out till 9.00pm, this is the place that you can consider. Food wise, not much comments.

Contemporary Art Exhibition

I still remember that the last time I went for this exhibition, it was last year, in Japan. The difference between the one that we have here and the one in Japan is that, it's free. Not only that, there's no sign that I can't take photos and the security is not as tight as the one in Japan. It's only one row of exhibition while in Japan, it's 3 storey of arts. Speaking of Japan, hhmmmm, if there's chance, I wants to go back to the country of the rising sun!

LEA centre at The Spring had been replace with the exhibition. I'm not sure if it will be a permanent or just for certain period of time. Anyway, some of the arts here is hard to understand. At least for someone like me, I find it hard to understand what is the arts are about.

They have drawings, all sorts of drawing which are for sale and also not for sale. Anyway, I think I'll just show the photos for all....

My Restaurant - Revisited Again

During the Ramadhan month, a friend of mine told us about the halal pork servings at My Restaurant (don't ask me how is it that pork is halal). Also, due to some slip of tongue, me and another colleague had to treat another colleague's lunch. And he chose 'My Restaurant' =.=

Oh well, once a blue moon, why not?

Anyway, here's some of the foods that we have. I can never finish the portion served at My Restaurant! I think in my next trip, I would probably just go for something lighter like spaghetti. Hahaha....

Young Su's Ice Cream

Each time I pass through the ice cream shop after my yoga session, I always wanted to stop and had the ice cream here. I just love the korean ice cream. For me, the taste is quite different and its not that sweet too.

The first time I had them is at OneTJ. They didn't last for long in OneTJ and it's good that they open a real shop instead of permanently shutting them down.

Anyway, I tried something different. I can't remember what they call it - complicated name. It's actually keropok and inside is ice cream. For RM3.90, it's extremely BIG!!!!

For those who are looking for a place to relax while enjoying a fine dining, this is the place. The environment is very soothing and comfortable. I heard that they have band at night singing to entertain the customers.

Overall, the food is nice too. For those who are small size, perhaps you would want to share the portion with your companion. I can't finish mine. Hahahaha!!!

7th miles is developing now and I realize they have a lot of other eatery now. As we are exploring, we saw this shop saying 'Authentic Chicken Rice' and it caught my attention. Hhhmmmm, how authentic will the rice be? lol ...

Well, the chicken rice is so much better compare with SCR!! The price is reasonable too (considering the portion of it). I even tapau the leftover meat and rice for my dog.

Have anyone been here? It's ashamed that I stay so near, yet, this is the first time I came here.

BF likes this place a lot. I can feel that the owner really particular with cleanliness and good services. The price is fairly reasonable too. I like the workers there. They are so much different and very hardworking.

The food is quite nice also. They use local rice and the price is only RM1 for big and RM0.70 for small!!!!

People call this place as porridge king as they serve porridge with all choices, including abalone and scallops. Of course, the price is so much different with original porridge.

But for me, I don't feel like having any porridge for the day. Luckily they have other food as well. Overall, I think the food here is quite ok. There's way too much ajinomoto though. I think that's how they tries to make the food taste 'better'.

"Ma Lak" Noodles at Life Cafe

This is the first time I've step in this cafe and I must really say that I like the environment. It is very casual and comfortable. For those who long to catch up some chit chat with friends, this could be the place for it.

My colleague says that the 'malak' noodle here is nice. For those who can stand to eat spicy food, you can try out this one. I order the medium spicy as I want to taste at what point is the 'hot' of the meal. Hahaha...

I guess not writing for quite some time had make me speechless in what I want to write in my blog. Hopefully, those who use to stop by my blog is still stopping by. Hope you're not annoyed by my short posting too.

We went to Kim Bay again at The Spring. I remember the last two visits here, I find that the food doesn't taste good. Trust me - if I say no, I really mean the food doesn't taste like what I expect (as the price is not cheap)

This time, I can see the portion is much more. That adds a point to it. BF order his nasi lemak rendang. He say its quite a lot and he couldn't finish them. lol ...

I order the simplest food of all - chicken ham sandwich as I don't feel hungry at all. Side orders is BF lovey dovey menu - tom yam soup

Overall, I still thinks that there's room for improvement. The food just so-so. If I am to choose, I would prefer much more to dine at Kimbay @ Hills

As I mention in my earlier, St Peters' had decorated the church just for this celebration. I am really amazed with what they had done. It really takes up a lot of faith and love in order to get something like this into actions.

I attended the mass just to join in the walk around the church. I really enjoy this event, which is something different.

Off A Little While

It seems like I really have ignored this blog of mine. Oh well, I had no choice but to put more other things in priority in my life.

I really don't know what to say but I feel bad for myself. There's way too many things to do and settle but time just don't seem enough. I really hope and pray that I will have energy to get through all this regardless of what the challenge would be.

Sometimes, I do feel so frustrated, angry and sad. A lot of negative emotions until I don't know how to smile. For a while, I just feel like packing up and just leave. This is crazy!

Oh well, I'll pray hard for his light and guidance. May He led me to the correct path and comforts me with His love and care.

For the mean time, worldofdidi will be in hybernation until I'm ready to write again....

A Trip to Mt Singai

It's been a long time that I've wanting to come to Mt. Singai but I just get too lazy to get it done. Sighhh..!! But I should say that I really need to be grateful that I met my this colleague of mine.

With her determination and our ideas of planning this trip, I finally get my butt up to Mt. Singai. Yeah!! It's not an easy task of walking up the stairs but once we reach up there, it's worth all the effort. Hehehe...

We start our journye by meeting up at the coffee shop in Hui Sing. I bought some mee while bf ate kolo mee there. I just take some kueh as breakfast.

For those who wants to help them, you can help them by carry some bricks up. This will definitely lessen their burden of bringing all the bricks up for renovations.

I plan to snap photos of all the station of the cross. BUT when I got home, I realize that I only have 10 station of the cross. Where's the rest? Sobs...

The stairs isn't easy for old people but if you go up slowly, you definitely can reach up there. Hehehe... There's a lot of resting area for those who really needed the rest. So, don't worry about no place for you to sit or to rest.

Don't forget to sign the book when you reach there. For remembrance :)

I'll be at St Joseph there and I see you at St Joseph through the tv and vice versa. After my confirmation on Easter day, I treat my cousin and family for dinner - steamboat. It's been a long time since the last time I come here. Can't wait to eat!!

I think this restaurant earns more from us. It's because we ate so little that we can't even cover half the price that we paid! Haaaiiihhhzzzzzz.... I purposely order plain water so that I don't fill my stomach with drinks but still, I just couldn't eat as much as lastime. Sighhhh....

Although life is busy, I believe we should always pamper ourselves with stuff that we loves. Agree?

Grand Magherita, also previously known as Holiday Inn has different restaurant in them. Few weeks ago, I went there for annual dinner of one of my vendors. Overall, I like the performance - not the food.

The food is not that nice compared with normal restaurant out there. In fact, I prefer the food at Hui Sing Hawker stall. Hehehehe....

Anyway, I didn't take any photos of the food but instead photos of the performances.

Lately, I felt like I've been missing out of what to say or what to do. Life just gets busier each day that I do not know which or what is the priority. Well, there's been a lot of on going lately. In work and also home and personal targets. I just hope I don't get all my energy drain out.

Everyday, when I got back home, all I want to do is lie flat on bed or play with Pooh. I don't even have mood for my favourite tv show 'Bones'. Sheessshhh..!! A lot of things is playing in my mind that I just can get myself relax. I guess, I better hire one PA to help me cope with all the things that's happening around me. Lol!!!

So what's new? Well, new job, new career gives a lot of learning opportunity. That's work. Nobody will say work is perfect so there's nothing much to bubble about on works. I think I'm the type that just won't sit still until everything is being plan out or carry out.

My house will be complete soon and that will means more money out of our pockets. Not to mention money out for what's going to happen end of the year. Oh well, I think spending money on house will be more fruitful than wedding? Or vice versa? Hhmmmmm..... I need God's guidance in planning out a good financial tracking of what I'll be spending for the next couple of month. God bless me!

I think I deserve a little break of my busy life. Hopefully be end of this year, I'll be more relax and calm.

During my boss birthday, we brought him to My Restaurant, which is his choice. I guess he must missed western food a lot. Hehehehe...

Overall, I kind of like the food here. It is really western compare with other places. The portion is still quite acceptable compared with those in US. I just can't imagine how a person can finish off a set meal in US. Lol!!!

Foods That Thril, Jalan Song

Recently, I have been to this restaurant for our lunch meal. At first, we thought of eating 'curry fish head' but due to some people that is having their food there, we decided to change our venue.

I can't remember the name of this place. I think it is previously a steamboat restaurant. This restaurant is next to the staircase going up to Mahayoga.

Nasi Lemak @ KWALI

Nasi lemak is not my favourite food but then, I know the secret of the best nasi lemak is on its ‘sambal’. As I had my lunch at KWALI, all I can think is ‘when will I be finishing this food?’

For the price of almost RM6, the portion is very disappointing. If someone small size like me says so, I doubt those big eater can be satisfied with the portion. I won’t mind to pay a little bit extra if the meal is superb. But, this time, I feel so disappointed as the sambal just have the taste of chili and nothing else. The peanuts were overcook.

I guess this will be my first and last time visiting KWALI. Sorry to say that!

Last weekend, I went to Boulevard to have my lunch. The food picture that the stall have is extremely irresistible! So, I help myself by ordering butter chicken while my dad ordered the lemon chicken rice @RM5.50 each.

Although the taste of the food is ok, but the portion of the meal is quite huge! For big eater, I believe you will be satisfied with the food.

This time, I’m here with two of my boss and some colleagues. For me, this place needs some expansion. If you comes here at 12 noon, you will have a noisy lunch. Noises of people in the restaurant is extremely annoying sometimes. Food wise, well, I think they need to improve on their portion. With the price like that, I would expect a bigger portion.

Sarawak Election - 16th April 2011

After my yoga last night, I went together with my dad to one of the speech by DAP. Well, to tell the truth, I am not the all so political kind of people. For me, politics is not what I'll get myself into.

Anyway, the crowd of DAP supporter is undeniable! No doubt that most of them are chinese but still, there's so many that willing to come out and listen to them! When it starts to rain, the crowd is still there. This is really amazing.

What is your opinion about politics and election? For me, I believe that everyone have a dream. Dream leads us to what we are and what we want to be. Whether it is BN or DAP, they all have a dream and path that has been built since day one.

For those of you out there that is still thinking who to vote, well, think of what have both parties done. Who is the one that is obviously showing sincerity? Who fight for the people? When I say people, I mean human regardless of who they are! I believe that most 'kopitiam talk' votes for the people's choice.

In this election time, all the candidate will be talking out loud what they will do and what they ensure the people will get. My opinion is that, future is something we cannot see. Regardless of what the candidate promise, it is still something unsure. Rather than judging who to vote via what they say, let us just think of what progress has been made in our state all this years. What have Sarawak achieve vs Peninsular? Although we have all the riches of the natural resources, why is it that Sarawak still uncomparable with Peninsular? Just take the road as an exmple. Whenever I drive, I won't stop but nagging at road condition. The road is just like a clothes that full with stitches everywhere. Stitches done in order to cover the hole. What the hack is that?

I must agree that we have all that it takes to be a rich country. However, Sarawak is still so pure. Pure in the sense that most of the people is still not polluted by the bad influence. Everyone still mind their own business and not fighting for what they believe.

So, think carefully before you vote. Think of what both side have done and not vote based on what they say. Everyone can talk and gives thousand of promises. But actions speak louder than words. Anyway, worldofdidi's vote will goes to Chong from DAP.

Fish Head Noodle

Have anyone been to this coffee shop? I have heard people talking about this place for almost a year now but shame to say that this is the first time I’ve been here. Lol!

This shop is selling noodles, rice and ‘beehoon’ with the ingredient of fish. I must say that the fish is quite fresh. If you likes prawn, they too have menu of prawns together with the rice or noodles.

Another signature menu of this coffee shop is their fish soup with milk. I thought of ordering this menu but as I’m on diet, I decided to order the plain type. Hehehehe…

With the price that I’m paying, I’m satisfied with the portion that they serve me. However, if I am to come here for every lunch time, I’ll get broke in no time.

As my car is due for servicing, I decided to drop by SHELL station to buy the oil for servicing. Reason that I bought the oil there than just drop into service centre is because I want to earn both credit card point and bonuslink point. Hahaha!

To my surprise, they gave me a RM20 voucher for the oil that I bought. Yeah, that's what I call money value! The oil is RM104. If I deduct the voucher, it means, it cost me only RM84. Yeahhh!!!!

Ayam Pansuh or Bamboo Chicken

If you ever comes to Kuching, make sure that you try out the local food – Ayam pansuh. This is one type of dish that I will never reject in my whole life! The taste of the chicken is extremely tasty and excellent!

The chicken is stuffed into a bamboo before the next process of cooking them. Rather than using the normal cooking method (oven/microwave/fry), the bamboo are barbequed.

The taste of the chicken is extremely sweet. If you use ‘ayam kampung’, it is even tastier! Hhmmm, I’m swallowing my saliva now by just thinking of this ayam pansuh.

Hakka's Lui Chai

Lui Cha is a traditional hakka meal which is actually a very healthy food. It cleanses our stomach from dirts and helps for those who have bowel movement problem.

This food comprises of rice, 'malichai' (my favourite), peanuts, beans and many other. If not mistaken, there's 7 types of green leaves in the soup.

Although I am a hakka, I don't drink the soup. For me, it is way too unacceptable!!

Many says that lui cha at 7th mile is nice. So I take the opportunity to try it out. Well, there's not much ajinomoto, which adds into the point for the stall.

I believe the owner purposely invented the restaurant to be called “Verinice”, which means “very nice”. It’s quite a creative and attractive as this surely will attracts more people to come here for a meal.

Well, this is the first time I come here. The environment is nice and good to have a family lunch or dinner. They hung up a big frame of food pictures on the wall. From the look of the food photos, I’m hungry already!

I think the owner is also a freelance photographer. Every photo in the menu looks so tempting. Lucky that I didn’t embarrassed myself by dropping off saliva. Lol!

I just couldn’t resist when I see the photos of fried rice. As I’m in Verinice, so I ordered Verinice fried rice. They have ways for food name too! I guess its best to show photos rather than talking about it, right?

No, it's not a coffee shop for old people. Lol!!

This coffee shop is near to Level Up Fitness centre and I must say that I really like the food here. The taste is nice and the portion is a lot. I can say that it is worth the money to have my lunch here. The food quality is acknowledgeable.

However, the service is kind of slow. I can’t remember how long we waited for our food but definitely is more than 15 minutes. No doubt that the coffee shop is full with hungry people, but that’s not an excuse for slow response in serving the food.

Anyway, enjoy the food picture. Don't get saliva all over the keyboard!

Lunch @ Kim-Bay, Hills Shopping Mall

The first time I went to KimBay at The Spring, I must admit that it is one of the bad experience for food. However, I change my mind after I come to KimBay at The Hills Shopping Mall.

For those who prefer to have a quiet and private lunch, this can be a good choice. It is very entertaining and nice to be here. As it is situated inside The Hills, shopping is a good idea after filling up the hungry stomach. Haha!

Price wise, well, I’m not rich. If I am to eat here every day, I’ll end up without any savings. Lol! It would cost RM10 per meal. This would means about RM300 per month just for lunch! Hhmmmmm…..

On my way home from work the other day, I saw this loving couple, going for jogging together. This is one loving couple, spending the rest of their life together through all things.

Stampark Waterpark - The New Look!

Have anyone been to Stampark lately?

For me, I think the lastime I visited Stampark would be end of last year. I must say that there's a lot of improvement and renovation going on. They have new convenient stall outside, at the parking area. I didn't go in to have a look as I thinks the price would definitely not cheap!

They have pickup and drop off area too. The entrance has move to the side, with barcoded system too. Haha! This is really a high class swim center. What attract me most if the simply yet pleasant garden at the side way from the entrance.

I got attracted to a sign that they hung up next to the coconut tree. Guess, what is that sign? Well, the management is kind enough to let people aware and watch out for any possibilities of coconut falling down. Haha!

For me, it is rather expensive to come here for a swim, unless I'm thinking of spending the whole morning/afternoon at the pool. I don't really enjoy the swim today as there's way too many people today. Anyway, enjoy the photos.

Cucumber Juice

Whenever I go out for lunch, I won't order drinks most of the time. Reason is I don't know what drink to order. If I got thirsty and still don't have a clue, I'll just get myself a cup of sky juice (plain water la). Hehe..

I was introduced with this drink - Fresh cucumber juice. First impression is 'huh'? I thought the taste would be weird and not nice at all. Well, I'm wrong!

I got so fond of this juice that I started to make my own! Haha... Of course, none of the people in my house (including BF) wants to try it.

So, what's my ingredient? Basically just water, sugar, cucumber and sour plum. Blend the cucumber, then add water and sugar as how you like it to be. Lastly, add on 2 sour plum and stir.

Meng Kui Cafe

I think its been a while since the last time I posted some photos of food in Kuching. Oh well, life is getting busier each day that I don't bother to do anything about my blog or taking pictures when I'm out searching for food or shopping.

2 more weeks and I'll be moving to our permanent workplace. We take this opportunity to try out all sorts of food in town. My colleagues recommended 'Heng hua' mee which he says is quite nice.

The reason that I like this place is because it is very quiet and peaceful yet the food is reasonable. Nowadays, it is hard to find a nice coffeeshop in Kuching.

I must say that the noodles is quite different from normal types. I think I'll come back again to have another round if there's chance. This shop is next to a car centre called "Korean Car Center" - or something like that. Haha!

Ridiculous Driver

Have anyone thinks how ridiculous drivers in Kuching is? Well, for me, I must really say that whenever there's a small corner in between, there's always a stupid and nonsense driver that is not patience enough to wait for their turns!

As I'm now in termporary office, I bumps into so many crazy drivers. Not only they cut you without signals but they too can honk you when the traffic light is red. Lol!! I encounter one time where an Avanza driver knock my side mirror just to go to the front when the light is red. Can't you see that the light is now red? What is the difference between being in front of one car or queue behind?

The most common thing that Malaysian driver likes to do is to turn a one path into two path. This is so common that it became a tradition.

Now, do we really want to pass this bad habit to the new generations? Or should we start to educate the new generation what it meant to be polite and rasional?

100 Plus Challenge the Adrenaline

100 plus is having their fun with the public at the 4th mile Everise last weekend. Due to the cloudy weather, I chose to go to the nearest food place to fill up my stomach. Anyone taking part with the activities that they are having?

The event had 3 games organized for the public for free. It covers all ages including kids as young as 3 years old! So what can a 3 year old kid do? Well, they can hit themselves on the sticky wall! Lol! It looks fun though. How I wish I'm 5 years old now!

I am more attractive with the driving simulation that they have. If not because all the participants is kids, I will surely sign up to have my fun too! This reminds me of the driving games in Hock Lee Centre. Hhhmmmm, anyone wants to go with me to play games? Haha!

Most of all, its the gokart game. Just register and you get to play the gokart. If you are fast enough to break the record they have, you get the chance to take pictures with the pretty lady. Hahahaha.....

Disaster in Japan - Let's Pray for All the People

Last Friday, when I had meetings with some representative from Japan, we talked about earthquake in Japan. Some of the counterparts says they couldn't get in touch of their family back home. If I am them, I'll be worrying sick about their conditions.

I still remember Japan is a very nice country with very friendly and helpful people. When I'm there last year, it's quite frustrated for me when I got lost. Thank God that I've met some helpful and kind Japanese people that willing to help me go around. I don't feel unsecure. Not even for a second!

After the worst earthquake ever last Friday, another earthquake strike Japan again. Followed with the nuclear explosion and radiations. God help them.

When I saw the footage of how the waters sweep over the cities where houses got swept away just like a piece of paper. This is so scary. Somehow, I felt sad seeing so many people left homeless and worst still, all alone when their loves one got swept away into the oceans.

I pray and hope that all those survivor will be able to find strength and faith to continue their journey as they find ways to heal their 'wound'. Let us all pray for the people.

Gong Xi!! Gong Xi!!

During Chinese New Year, we would usually say ‘Gong Xi Fa Chai’ to friends and relatives that comes to our house. For me, I’ll just say Chinese New Year.

Ok, that’s not what I’m planning to write now. It appears that not only human can say ‘Gong Xi’ to people. As long there’s will, any living things can do so too!!

Few days ago, I got bored and played with neighbor’s dog. Some pat on his head and talks, he seems to be very obedient. Then, I remember that he responded happily whenever I say ‘Gong Xi’. It’s very funny and cute!!

Man's Best Friend - A Jogging Companion

Who says that dog is only to watch over our house? Dog, like any other animals have feelings too. They know what is pain, love and even know who treats them well and who is thei enemy. Just because they couldn't speak our language doesn't mean that they do not have feelings.

My neighbour's dog has been accompanying me for jogging. His presences not only making me feels secure but also not lonely. Whenever I walked out from my house, passing through his house, he will run out of his house and start to follow me to the garden. Of course, dog likes to lead. Most of the time, he will walk in front and look back, making sure that I'm not 'lost'. Isn't this lovely?

BF usually accompanies me to jog 2-3 rounds only. This dog, which I gave him name 'Ah Pui' accompanied me 6 rounds! After that, he looks totally exhausted and tired. Hahaha!! I keep asking him to go home but he just refuse to go and chose to accompany me. Gosh, this is one good local dogs that I've ever made!

Dinner at Chef Delicious

Anyone have heard of Chef Delicious? This is actually the second or third time I've been here. What makes me keep coming back here is the friendliness of the staff and its obvious that customer is their priority.

This time, I've booked a room as it was my dad's birthday. The food is quite yummy and the price is really reasonable. If you booked a room, you can actually listened to songs while enjoying your meal. I've played around the controls to choose the song that I want. One of the songs is by Crazy Frog. Anyone remember this song? The video clips is so FUNNY!! I think I'm getting addicted once again to crazy frog.
