New Year 2008 Celebration

So how is the 2008 welcoming celebration????? Me...... a little bit boring..

Monday, after work, I went home to take bath and eat dinner. Then go out dating. But then, not for long as I felt so tired and lazy. Worried about what my boss wants to comment. Maybe will get a big BOM soon. Haaiihhh .... I sleep at 10 on Monday night, at first, thought of waking up at 12am and call my bf to wish him Happy New Year and Happy Birthday. But..... I overslept......... Anyway, he overslept too. Hahahahaha...

Then Tuesday morning ... Walau eh!! My phone so many sms. Guess I am the only one that sleep and didn't go for the countdown. Kekekeke ... Wake up at 9am (I slept more than 10 hours, whahahaha), wait for my bf to call and we go buy lamb, chicken wing and hot dogs for bbq. Only among his family and his close friend. Kekekeke .... I took some of the photos of the marinated chicken.



After the meat is cook, I totally forgotten to take photos and only remember to eat them. Hahahaha ...I still feel very full from the BBQ meat. After that, we sit down, watch astro. Errr, can't remember what is the first movie that we watch but i remember watching Snow White at 3.30pm. Hahahahaha ..... While watching, I took some of my photos also. Kekekeke ....

Oklar, that's my New Year Activities ....

The First Confession - St. Mark's Church, Batu Kawa

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. One thing different between St. Mark and my church is that during this kind of occasion is that in my church, there will be more than 1 photographers going all round taking photos or filming the whole occasion. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
