Year End, 2008 Resolution Achievement

While having tea break with AppleJul and Janice yesterday, one of the chatting topics haunt my mind - What have we achieve this year? Hhmmm, frankly speaking, I can't recall if I set any resolution for 2008. Hahahaha!!!

So, this morning, while checking my mail, I checked whether I wrote any 2008 resolution or not in my blog. It turns out, I wrote about CNY decorations, Chap Goh Mei, my new shirts, etc... and none of them is refering to my 2008 resolution. Aiks!! How come I don't set any 2008 resolution???? Huhuhuhu...

No wonder I felt that I did not achieve anything or maybe I do achieve but I did not set it as my target this year. Huh! Not satisfied, I went to my budget files and checked whether I set any target financially. It turns out that I do set target in term of financial ONLY. Huh..Apalar me .... I must must set 2009 resolution!!

Back to my topics.. OK, so what have I achieve this year? Let me list it out...

From my budget files
  1. Achieve xxx target of saving - FAILED. Some digit is missing
  2. Cleared one of my credit card - DONE as per Mar'08
  3. Cleared another debt to be below 5K - DONE. I need another year to settle.I have increased payment too.
  4. Cleared PTPTN debt - FAILED. This is far to possible. Hahaha.. I guess it takes another 3 years to do so. So, instead of clearing this one, I actually increase the payment from RM200 to RM300
  5. Get myself new handphones - FAILED. I always has excuse not to change new handphones. Hahaha... I guess, I'm not into handphones hobbies type.
  6. To lost weight to below 50KG. - DONE although it is just roughly below 50KG. Hahahaha ...
Hhhmmmm, it looks to me that out of 6 items, I only manage to do 3 items. Alamak!! What a failure... There is another 27 days to go before 2009. Hhmmm, I don't think I'll manage to achieve item (1), (4) and (5). Hahaha.. UNLESS I strike ticket worth 30K ?? Hahaha ....

Kok, hahaha .... don't know leh .. I guess good enough oledi kua...

PTPTN ah ... I forgot what it stands for..basically, it is a study loan given by gov to ppl to study in uni .. my PTPTN loan .. errmmm .... how much do you think it cost to study in Curtin for 3 yrs? That's the amount of my PTPTN :(

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. One thing different between St. Mark and my church is that during this kind of occasion is that in my church, there will be more than 1 photographers going all round taking photos or filming the whole occasion. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. Mushroom soup with garlic bread Fish and chips Spaghetti Carbonara with hot dogs  Enjoy your lunch yea...

'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
