Global Warming - Save the Planet : Water
As mention in my previous posting, there are few organisation taking part in creating awareness about the impact of global warming and what had happens to our world. One of the organisation that I can remember is Tzu Chi.
Apart from some articles and pictures of what happen in the artic, they too creates an idea of what can we do with our rubbish. Amongst them are bags which are created from our milo packaging, chairs from plastic bottle and a lot more.
The truth, it takes more than one soul to create the awareness. In a family, for example, if one out of three are aware of the global warming, the whole ideas just goes into the drain. Therefore, educating everyone in the family is a MUST!
In supporting the effort made by all related parties, I decided to write a post (1 posting per week, hopefully) about what and how we can participate (as individual as well as in a group) in saving our mother Earth.
So, to begin with, this week, I'll be posting about "WATER". As we all know, water is the most important items in our daily life. We need water to avoid hydration, to take our bath, to wash our cars, clothing and even to bath our pets.
I read one article. It says that when water is wasted, it simply means CO2 is created for no good reason. When our planet has more CO2, it gives impact on the global warming. Another sources mentions about water vaporization activity had lessen water quantity in our planets.
Due to the global warming, rivers had dried up and glacier melt in Himalaya had decreased. Our planet is getting warmer and warmer nowadays. I believe most of us can feel the heat of the sun even when we stands outside for one minutes. Water vaporization from the water that we waste simply means that we are contributing in helping the nature of destroying our planet.
One example that I learn from the exhibition last week, that is washing our car. When we splash our car with water, the water would simply ended on the floor. With the heat from the sun, the water that we wasted would evaporated into the air and vanish. Imagine if 100,000 people in M'sia washed their cars at the same time and each time 50 liters of waters is wasted. How much water would evaporate into the air?
As what the Penang CM urge on the Penang people to conserve water, I think this doesn't only applies to Penang people, but to everyone in this whole world. If 1 person manage to conserve 10 liters per day, 1000 people would saves us 10,000 liters per day!!!
