Platinum Credit Card

Have anyone receive a credit card eventhough you had not apply for one?

Few weeks ago, I got a shock when I receive a letter for the pin number for one of the bank that I've serve my whole life. At first, I thought they send new ATM card for me as I didn't activate the current one.

I called the hotline and they told me that this is actually a pin number for credit card application. In their records, I didn't apply for it but the bank had giving me an offer for a platinum card. The first thought that came into my mind is "What the hack?"...

One week later, I receive the card. According to the postmen, a lot of people is complaining about receiving the credit card although they did not apply for it. Well, I believe business has gone bad that they try to find other alternative for card sales.

Anyway, after thinking twice, I thought there's no harm to get this one and cancel my current one. Reason is simple - the bank that offer me this card is international bank. Then, I google about the credit card and the annual fees. Apart from paying for annual fee, there's a government tax of RM50.

I'm shocked when I find out that platinum credit card have a higher annual fees. For this case, it's RM250. Crazy!!!! This would means that I'm going to pay RM250 + RM50 just for one piece of card!.. No thanks.. What I did? Well, I get my punch holes and punch a hole on the card. Why should I waste my money over a platinum card? lol....

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. One thing different between St. Mark and my church is that during this kind of occasion is that in my church, there will be more than 1 photographers going all round taking photos or filming the whole occasion. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
