Cheapest Western Food in Town

Couple of weeks ago, before I start my shopping spree in Boulevard, I stop by the foodcourt to please my hungry stomach.

As a friend of mine told me that the western food here is quite cheap, I decided to try them. The stall is right at the middle on the rows. I can't remember the name of the stall though but I think is Kim Bay something. Anyway, there's only one western food here.

We order the set menu and I must say that I regret ordering set menu! Well, its not because the food is not nice but its the portion that scares me. For RM7.90 per set, I get to get one side dish + 1 side menu. I choose the baked rice and mushroom soup. My dad chose bbq chicken rice + french fries.

I can feel that I over ate that day. Some more, as I cannot finish the baked rice, I bring back the remaining and give it to my dog. Hahaha!!

If you happens to drop by Boulevard for lunch or dinner, try visit this western food. You will not go home hungry anymore! lol..

Don't think I had ever heard of this place but sounds cheap RM7.90 with side dish, main dish and soup. Hope you have a great week ahead

Its worth to have a try of it .. The taste is quite ok and for RM7.90, its really worth it ..

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
