Next Plan - Dad's Birthday Dinner @20Feb

My next plan to let my dad know more about my bf is on his birthday. Is it ok if I invite him to join in the dinner? That's the question that been playing on my head now. Since chap goh mei and my dad birthday is just very near to each other, might as well combine this two occasion together.

After getting opinions and think about it, I will asked my bf to join in the dinner. However, this time, I'll just let my dad know that I invite my friend, not asking for permission. Kekeke...


A little bit anxious and nervous again. Wonder if my dad knows who is he... My cousin say I'm too dumb if I'm wondering as the Chin family never simply bring guy for any dinner occasion. And my dad already knew who he is.. I guess she is right because lately when I'm out, my dad didn't ask me where I go, what I do or who I go out with.. Kekeke ....

Didi! Just bring your bf over, but u make sure he got a seat otherwise rather embarrassing!!

It is always got to get ur bf to be involved in family matter and introduce him to other family members!!

Yaya, that's what I'm doing now .. for first few rounds, my dad seems ok .. but he is like a bom .. not sure if the bom will explode or just remain the same .. so i need to find out secretly what he thinks of him.. hehe

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. One thing different between St. Mark and my church is that during this kind of occasion is that in my church, there will be more than 1 photographers going all round taking photos or filming the whole occasion. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
