Talcum Powder Causes Ovarian Cancer

While watching news on NTV 7, it caught my attention on this topics. Talcum powder can cause ovarian cancer? Gosh!! Stated in the news that those who uses talcum powder daily has 41% risk of ovarian cancer. That's a lot!!!!!!!

This mainly impacted on babies since babies would use powder almost everyday and each time they took bath. Well, question is why is it that the impact is only found today?

I'm a loyal user for Johnson & Johnson baby powder. Huhuhu, after I checked on the content, it shows that the powder consist of Talcum. Waaaa!!!! Heart-broken!!!! First, I just bought new big bottle of baby powder. Second, what am I suppose to put on if not Johnson powder??? The truth, I hate other powder's smell.. Huhuhu... Third, does this means that I have 41% risk of ovarian cancer? Alamak.. Helppppp....

er, u mean talcum powder rub all over ur body? never heard of such thing!

Now I am concern about my little gal using talcum every day. Maybe should switch to body lotion instead??

Usually, it gives a fresh look. But, if used beyond the extent that has to be, it can cause the so called diseases.

Yeah, I think so as the news mention if use daily .. I guess include use the powder all over our body ... It's in TheStar as well... I've stop using for 2 days and really feeling not right .. going to hunt for a non-talc powder...

This is the first time I heard of it .. I guess all the chem produce items are hazardous to our body ..

i think they didnt make it clear that one can be exposed to it if only the powder is used in the genital area.

“Talc particles are capable of moving up the reproductive system and being embedded in the ovary lining,” <-- "moving up" should give the idea already.

i hate knowing if i cant use talc powder anymore!

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. Hong Kong Bun - Xiao Ba Wang

Have anyone been to this place? I actually asked SK to help in translating them into English. According to her 'xiao' refers to small while 'ba wang' is gangster. Hhmmmm.... It is located right opposite the Stutong Market. BF say this is second branch. For me, this is the first time I saw it. This is a good place for 'pao' lovers to have their breakfast. BF and I went there once for breakfast since it's on the way to our workplace. First impression - I like it here. Not much traffics and the place is clean. Second impression - what happen to the day dreaming waitresses?? I want to take my order! Third impression - do they know that we are waiting? The food is nice. For BF, it is superb. He has been eating 'pao' for breakfast for almost everyday. Well maybe like what he say, for me everything is the same. But I must say the dim sum is nice.
