The Most Expensive Parking in Kuching

Have anyone wonders where would be the most expensive parking?



Will it be at The Spring? Or Hilton? Or is Merdeka Palace? What about Four Point Hotels? In common sense, five stars hotels should charge higher price of parking.
Well, the other day, BF and I went to Wisma Saberkas. I can't recall the lastime I step my feet there. Before I manage to stop BF, he drove his car to the loading bay for parkings. As Kuching-lang, I know that the parking that is expensive (but I didn't know that it's hell out of expensive!).
After 2 hours and 3 minutes, we walked out of Saberkas. When we proceed to the counter, we are amazed at the charges..

RM14 for 2 hours and 3 minutes!

Later we found out that the charges are :
1st half hour - RM1
2nd half hour - RM1
3rd half hour - RM2
Subsequent half hour - RM5

This is definitely ridiculous because the parking is NOT SECURE and it's not at high class 5 star shopping mall or hotels!!!!

Haha.. I kena this before. My parking fee that time is RM22 le.. even more expensive than urs..

Very crazy ho .... even 5 star parking is not that expensive leh ... for just few hours .. not one day .. if park for one day cost 2 digit amount, it is relevant..but for 2-3 hours ... its really ridiculous ...

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
