Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Image
Today is the eve of Chinese New Year and I can hear the sounds of fire crackers everywhere. When I'm a kid, Chinese New Year would be one of the best day of my life. Two simple reasons for a kid to love new year is ang pao and new clothes! I would be so busy asking my parents to bring me to relatives house to taste all sorts of foods and to collect more ang pao. For parents, this would mean more ang pao going out while the kids enjoying collecting them in return. Kekeke... As I grew up and now officially working, Chinese New Year became the time for me to enjoy the long break and not thinking of work. Angpao? Well, apart from giving angpao to my dad and godmum, there's no angpao returning back to me. Sobs... But of course, I've receive my angpao from Nuffnang and Paypal. Yeah!!! For the eve dinner, I can't stop thinking of crab. Yummmmmmm..... BF says he wants to cook clam and bring it over. Let's just wait and see if he is in the mood of cooking. The truth, I belie

Crispy Seaweed is Back

Image
This year, being an extremely lazy girl, I only manage to make one type of foods for CNY - Crispy Seaweed!!! The main reason why I'm so motivated to do this one is because I wants to eat myself. Hehehehe.. If buy from outside, it is very expensive yet little. So, might as well that I make it myself. I think I've posted the recipe. It's not my recipe though and I got it from JenJen.... It is actually very simple and easy.... All you need is white egg, seaweed and popiah skin. Cover the seaweed with popiah as both side. In order to make the seaweed stick to the popiah, use white egg. Then, cut into any size that suits you. After that, fry them. I didn't bake them as I felt the taste is not as nice as fry. After fry, just put on some salt and pepper..BF suggested that in future, I tried other recipies as well. That is to put chicken floss in between the seaweed and popiah, use chillie powder rather than pepper, etc, etc .. Hhmmm, sound like I'm going to make crispy sea

Imported Cars Exhibition @The Spring

Short posting .... As I spent one of my weekend in The Spring, I notice that they are promoting a lot of imported cars. Although I'm not a big fan for cars, I do feel amazed with the sporty design of imported cars. I do have car models that I like.......

Spring Cleaning for Chinese New Year

Image
Sheessh, I think I lost weight due to house cleaning for the past few weeks. Hahaha... Staying with 2 guys and being the only female in the house, you can expect to see my house looks like bachelor's house. My dad's 'territory' is the worst and he tends to keep everything even if it's useless stuff. I have 2 spoilt DVDs somewhere and my dad still reluctant to throw them away. Huh... The moment I start to clean up the mess, my dad would just stay far away from me. Even my dog too will not come near to me. I tends to nag and nag and nag when I see all those junk being kept for no reason. I even found lots of lizards shit and eggs. Hhmmmm, I'm wondering if it belongs to the small lizard or the big lizards. My house has 2 big lizards and for chinese belief, it's not a good idea to chase them away as they brings in good luck. Hahaha.... All the rubbish and stuff that I dig out Before Cleaning - top of cabinet is the most dirtiest After cleaning - satisfied

Boulevard Shopping Mall - Jam Packed!!

Image
Last Sunday, my dad and I went to Boulevard after our dinner. Well, I got bored cleaning the house and there's nothing to do already so I just got the idea to go for free air-conditioned place to hang out. BF is working, so he didn't follow this time. I'm shocked when I reached there. Good thing is we are using motorcycle and not cars. Everyone is waiting for their turn to get a valid parking space. Some even dare to park at the road side at Seng Goon Garden. BF got a 'white ang pao' there once and we learn our lesson not to park at the roadside. Wondering what is white ang pao? Well, it is police traffic summone! I wonder if the things there is much cheaper than the usual time. If it's not cheap, why is the place packed with human? Hahahaha .. For me, I've finished my CNY shopping. The only thing that I have not buy are cakes. This year, I'm not into spending money for those dangling accesories. I guess due to the economy downturn last year, everyone is

A Week Before Chinese New Year

Image
As CNY is around the corner, almost all my activities over the weekend involves the preparation of CNY. It's a very tiring weekend and weekday that I've neglected my blog for quite some times. Yeah, I know some of you must have notice that I seldom blog now and the standard of my posting has degraded. Well, if there's too much important stuff, we can't expect to get on track in everything, right? So, last weekend, dad and I went to Kenyalang to look at the CNY stalls that they have over there. We went there as early as 9.30AM. Hahaha, so don't expect much when you go early in the morning. My dad 'bought' some kueh sepit. 'Bought' as of he 'buy', I pay. lol .... That's what I tell my godmum when my dad told her that he 'bought' kueh sepit and then spread it into two packets. So after a short trip to Kenyalang, my dad suggested to go to The Spring. There, I saw a lot of my colleagues there. Wow, guess everyone thinks of The Sprin
