Breastfeeding

During my pregnant time till delivered, I've been told that breastfeeding provides the best nutrient to our baby and its benefits cannot be found in formula milk. It seems to me that breastfeeding is a very welcoming idea in the culture and it is the best for the baby. However, being in this little hometown of mine, I've seen almost near to zero effort been put to promote and makes young mothers to breastfeed their babies. All that I see is some organization would organize breastfeeding talks, benefits, etc but almost near to zero is done to change the public view of breastfeeding. Now, what am I talking about? I often realize when a mother breastfeed their child in public, the eyes of the public would either gives a weird look or a stare as if saying 'What are you doing exposing your boobs in public'. Oh well, babies need to be fed, right. Instead of promoting breastfeeding among mothers or mother to be, little has been done to change the public mindset about it! ...

Lack of Posting

Life has been different this year. Start from changing of my status from being someone's girlfriend to someone wife, its been a very challenging day to me. Oh well, we are adapting well. Just the changes makes me life busier than ever! Plus with busy working life, my time for blogging is getting lesser. Hopefully, after a while, i'll be able to post more photos for everyone to see. I guess those who use to read my blog is saying good bye to me due to my lack of post.. Hope you come back soon! Previously, most of my posting is all about food and food and nothing but food - or just about places that I've went. From now, I believe I will be posting more and more of personal and what I've learnt in my journey of life. Perhaps, more photos of what I've been doing in my own kitchen.. or perhaps, some posting of my new project... Sure its surprise for now.. Hope I'll get it into this blog soon...

Mulu Adventures Day 2 – Wind Caves and Clearwater Caves

Image
This is the best adventures amongst all the caves! Our journey begin by sitting inside a small boat, travelling through the river to a small village where they sold all sorts of local items. I loves the cool air from the jungle. It smells so different and calming. Can I just be on the boat until the sun goes down? Can't wait for the sampan ride So peaceful... hopefully there's no crocs here.. haha Stopping by at the village to buy some hand made stuff Wind caves gots its name because of unending wind inside the caves. Its freezingly windy and my sweat just gets ‘dry’ up very fast. You can even hear the sound of the wind! Clearwater caves is a caves with water. At the end of the cave, there’s a huge waterfall. And the water is running wild towards the lake. I didn’t take a swim at the lake. I try the water and wash my face. It’s really cold water. They say this is a figure of a lady that guides the clear water cave We didn’t stay for l...

As HB is from Batu Niah, we take this chance to go and have a visit at his hometown too. Our journey begins by renting a car - the cheapest one, Kancil manual @RM80 per day. After 2 hours driving, we finally reach Batu Niah. The first thing that HB think of is the mee soup from one of the stall where an old aunty is preparing it. She is quite old and very forgetful. It took her more than 10 minutes to prepare our meal. But the, the wait is much worth while The old lady and her daughter HB's most favourite mee soup After our lunch a.k.a tea break, we headed over to HB's uncle house. Well, I forgot to take picture now as we are all tired from the journey. The next day, journey begins with playing with the pigs... Mummy pigs and her kids Daddy Pig .. very fierce ! After feeding the pigs and also the mosquitoes, we headed over to his uncle's palm oil farm. HB helped his uncle for a while, while me, standing and feeding some more mosquitoes.. By the ...

Shame to say that I've never been to this restaurant before. Oh well, what can I say? I'm surrounded by those who just eat local food - my BF and dad just eat local food and not very keen to eat something different. Lol! For the first time, I set my food into Koreana during one of the company dinner with some colleagues from other sites. Yeahh, I get to eat nice food without the need of paying for it. Hehehehe... The other colleague went there right after work while for me, I prefer to go home and take my sweet bath first. When I got there, the food are all ordered and is on the way to be served. Hehehe... I'm not sure what are all the food name since I'm not there when they order. All I know is which of it taste super nice and is a must to order if we go there. Free refill available for all these vegetables Beef? Pork? No idea.. hehehehe... Sotong .. The soup. Should really try this. It's really appetizing Errrmmm, I'm not sure what thi...
