Sushi King RM2 Bonanza

Yeah, I went to Sushi King RM2 bonanza on their first day!



In conclusion, this year RM2 bonanza is not that great compare to last year. Why? The time I went there, there is no smoke salmon, no the 'fish egg' sushi, sushi with baby 'octopus is rarely be seen and most importantly there is no UNAGI!!!! Sheeeshhh!!!!!!

When I ask them if I can order Unagi, they reply "Boleh, but normal price". My head is playing the word "KNS". Some more, 1 person only can have 1 tissue. Apalah!

"Unagi where are you???"

Not only that.. When I reached there, the weather is extremely hot. They serve as boiled hot green tea. We ask for cold one and they reply "Tak ada". Then we ask for ice. Also "tak ada". So, by force, I had to drink the super boil hot green tea. This is the first time I'm sweating while eating sushi. Hhhmmm, when we got there, the place isn't full. I wonder what makes them so 'busy'. Their customer service really need to improve!

It looks like I'm not the only one that don't know what to eat

BF and I only manage to eat 7 plates in TOTAL! Can you see how hard it was for us to eat our lunch?? The choices on the belt is barely what we want to eat. I can see some of the food is not very fresh too.Breaking my own records.. 7 plates of sushi for 2



I smsed to AppleJul after the 'lunch' and ask if she manage to eat any unagi. Well, according to her, she had 3 plate of unagi. Arrgghhhh!! I'm wondering if they have time schedule of serving those sushi.

Well, hopefully the next round of sushi bonanza would be sweet moment for me. As for now, no unagi ...

Hehe.. All my 3 plates of Unagi caused me RM6 nia.. Wahahaha.. and the smoke salmon, we had 2 plates. And also RM2 each nia.. ;)

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. One thing different between St. Mark and my church is that during this kind of occasion is that in my church, there will be more than 1 photographers going all round taking photos or filming the whole occasion. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
