2012 Recap and 2013 Resolution Target

As I'm writting this post, I try to search for my post for 2012 resolution but then I couldn't find it. Gosh!! Now I remember that I have not set any resolution for 2012!!! Oh well, 2012 had past. Regret now won't do any good. Let me see what I've achieve last year. Major changes definitely is that I am now officially called MOTHER to my girl name "Kylee". She is born on 11th October 2012 at 12:43 PM via normal delivery. Most people say she look like me. Whoever she looks like, she is still my daughter. Lol! OK, apart from that, I can't recall if there's any big changes or update in my life. Hhhmmm, sound like a boring year for me. Financially, I'm still trying to recover from the spending I made on my wedding and house item. Sighh, with baby on the way, it's quite impossible to achieve any goals. So, not much resolution set last year. For this year, I MUST set some resolution or else, it's going to be another boring and lazy year...

New Dining Place - Overseas Restaurant

Image
During one of our gathering, my colleague decided to pay a visit to the new dining place in town - Ocerseas Restaurant. The restaurant is located near the airport and looks very eastern-western style. We spoke a while with the supervisor there. She told us that the cook is not local people but from China. All the dishes served are menus which is the combination of Kuching-China style. Meaning, food that can be found in Kuching and cook in style with China people. Lol !! She recommended us with the chicken cooked in steam bamboo. Sound like our 'ayam pansuh' but its not. Anyway, here's the mouth watering food that we ordered... Not sure about the price though .. But then, taste wise, not bad. I would come here again when there's chance. Hehehe...

Manhattan Fish Market

With little one, it is hard to pick where I want to go for dinner. Its because, we need to think of the rainy and hot sunny day. For Christmas celebration, I decided to go to The Spring and simply dine at one of the restaurant in there. Personally, I prefer to bring LO to The Spring. Its because The Spring is less noisy compare to other shopping mall. Since we never been to Manhattan Fish Market, we decided to have our Christmas dinner here. Here's what we order... Overall, I dont't really like the food. It doesn't feel special at all. The service is not bad but then they can do better. Price wise is quite expensive. There's too much taxes and additional charges apart from the food. I

Breastfeeding

During my pregnant time till delivered, I've been told that breastfeeding provides the best nutrient to our baby and its benefits cannot be found in formula milk. It seems to me that breastfeeding is a very welcoming idea in the culture and it is the best for the baby. However, being in this little hometown of mine, I've seen almost near to zero effort been put to promote and makes young mothers to breastfeed their babies. All that I see is some organization would organize breastfeeding talks, benefits, etc but almost near to zero is done to change the public view of breastfeeding. Now, what am I talking about? I often realize when a mother breastfeed their child in public, the eyes of the public would either gives a weird look or a stare as if saying 'What are you doing exposing your boobs in public'. Oh well, babies need to be fed, right. Instead of promoting breastfeeding among mothers or mother to be, little has been done to change the public mindset about it! ...

Spectra Dew 300

Back in August, I've bought a breastpump, Spectra Dew 300. I find it pretty amazing that human is so clever in creating such a convenient tools for moms, especially working mom for their convenience of pumping milk to keep for babies. As hubby work night shift once a while, I'll be staying at my dad house. Although the spectra pump is convenient, but I find it bulky to bring here and there. Whenever I went to dad house to overnight, I'll just grab my manual pump, which is smaller. End up, my spectra is left unused. So, I'm thinking of selling it! Anyone interested, please let me know. The pump is still under warranty until February 2013. I'm selling it at RM300. However, its negotiable. Do contact me if you're interested ya.

Go Green with Plantation

Recently I had a little project with hubby in turning our little garden into some flowery and organic garden. Oh well, it's a start for some organic fruits. Our dogs is helping us with the fertilizers (of course, this means her pee and poo, what do you think? Haha!) Some of the plants is still small and not very eye catching, so I didn't take picture of it. I have in my garden - kedondong, papaya, chillies, guava and some local vegetables. Papayas and kedondong Chillies For some eye catching, I planted some cactus too. It's just an old time hobbies that I have when I'm a kid. I have not have much time now to take care of it. Hope the cactus will be alright. More chillies at the upper picture and my little flower garden Ok, I know, my flower look hurt.. My lovely dog help to plant her nail onto it So, what did you plant in your garden?

Celebrating Mooncake Festival at Pai Jia Le

Image
I'm not really a person that will celebrate all sort of occasions the grand way but rather let it be simple and decent. As its been a while that I've not been to any restaurant for a nice food. So, taking the excuse of mooncake festival to have some nice food. My HB favourite place, Pai Jia Le. He will always choose here if I ask him where to eat. It's the slice pork with 'kiam hu' that attracts him. Whenever we are here, this dish will definitely be one of the choices of food on the table. I think I've posted a lot about Pai Jia Le, so this time, not going to mention much about it.
