A Date with Tad Hamilton

This is actually a scheduled posting. Last Tueday, I watched tv2 movie titled "A Date with Tad Hamilton". My first impression about the movie is "NOT GOOD". I thought that the movie is about a girl who chose over a famous actor over a guy with 22 years of friendship.

Well, obviously, her best friend, Pete loves her more than this famous actor "Tad". He can describes her like there is nothing the girl can hide from him.

Pete tries to win Roseelee back with his own way. Sadly, the girl is blinded with the thought of dating a famous actor. As the last of the solutions, Pete confronted Tad and warn him not to break her heart. Knowing that both Tad and his dream girl only knew each other for a month, he told Tad all that he knew about the girl so that Tad can understands her better.

However, after talking to a girl, Pete decided to tell her about how he felt as the last trials of winning the girl back. Sadly, the girl chose Tad. At the same time, the girl is moving away from their small town to follow Tad back to LA. Pete at the same time, decided to bring his broken heart into another town. While in LA, Roseelee finally realize that she had been fooling her own feelings. She flew back to their small town knowing that Pete is on his way to leave the town.


Ending... Well, she manage to stop Pete from leaving.. I think this movie is a very touching movie. It also shows that being famous doesn't win you a true relationship. But being who you are and knowing what you are could win everything.

Last Sunday is BF day of signing the "Book of Life" (I think that's what they call it). From the time table list, it is known as the "First Confession" day... Well, I translate directly the meaning since it's in BM. Hehehe... We arrived there at around 9am. Not many people there that time but there are people setting up stall to sell some food after the church service. BF told me that he had not had any breakfast yet and I nag him. Whahahaha! I had to sit separately from BF and dad since I'm not the godfather. Church service starts at 9.30pm. While waiting for the mass, I took pictures all around the church . Are they dreaming?? I took some picture when they signed the book. Well, I'm the only photographer that day. One thing different between St. Mark and my church is that during this kind of occasion is that in my church, there will be more than 1 photographers going all round taking photos or filming the whole occasion. Cozy Cafe, Jalan Song

Feeling hungry for something different on lunch time? Another place you can think of will be this restaurant - The Cozy Cafe. It is opposite One TJ with a black signboard. The environment is indeed cozy and warmth. Taste wise not bad but I can say that the service is a little weird. We order tea and they only permitted to give us 2 cup. Hhmmmm, I thought that we can just ask them to refill the pot wit hot water and share the tea amongst us. Guess this is how they earn more - limiting the number of sharing per tea pot. Oh well, got to just follow their rules. And this is what we ordered - sharing portion between a few of us. After all, ladies are small eaters. 'Ma Li Chai'/'Mani Chai', also known as Cangkuk Manis

While googling for news about 'malichai', it turns out that I hardly get anything that I am looking for, so this triggers me to write something about this local vegetables that I believe, can only be found in Sarawak. 'Mali chai' is easily planted and grow quite fast as well. In fact, this is the only vegetables that I planted and it didn't fail on me! With its stick, just plant it on the ground and leave the rain and sun to takes care of the rest. Hahaha... 'Mali chai' is a word in hokkien that mostly use in Kuching. 'Chai' means vegetables. Hakka people called it 'su choi'. Well, this vege doesn't seems to have an English name. If we are to translate from BM to English, it definitely sounds weird - Sweet Hook. I think anyone who hear 'sweet hook' will not be keen to try it out.. So, how do 'mali chai' looks like? I've snap the photos of this vegetables at my garden.
